xiii.

Sent in stone

Serenades embedded

upon sandstorms

Bend his bones

Barricades blown

into shore

Challenge and chase

Bury us

In graceful cascades

amour-ed

Dalliance a

dance

Labyrinthine our

lungs

Drown all that

is sown

Reap nothing but

Damascus’

Dusted dawn

Til’ we lay ourselves

On lids of that

lucid lawn
